To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel vehicles, HSITP will provide charging facilities for electric vehicles at the parking spaces, construct cycle tracks and parking facilities, and encourage bike-sharing. The Park will also introduce intelligent facilities, including automated parking systems, autonomous shuttles, smart water and electricity meters, etc.

Batch 1 includes four wet-lab enabled buildings, which have much higher requirements in terms of ceiling height and loading than other dry-lab/office buildings. Special facilities are also required, such as fume exhaust ducts, laboratory gas/deionized water/vacuum, higher electricity loading, waste water treatment, ventilation system, fire-fighting equipment, etc.

Batch 1 development also includes the Common Utility Enclosure, District Cooling System, information technology and telecommunication system and network security system that will eventually be extended to serve the entire Park. There will be common space and facilities within the area, including podiums between buildings, travellator, leisure open space and greening facilities etc.

HSITP will adopt intelligent and environmental-friendly facilities for environmental protection and energy conservation and the “Modular Integrated Construction” method for the construction of the talent accommodation.
