20 November 2025 – Hong Kong – Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL) welcomes the release of the Conceptual Outline of the Development Plan for the Innovation and Technology Industry in the San Tin Technopole, part of the Northern Metropolis, announced today by the HKSAR Government. The Conceptual Outline provides clear guidance on industrial positioning, spatial layout, and phased development for the San Tin Technopole. It focuses on priority sectors including life and health technology, AI and robotics, microelectronics and smart devices, new energy, new materials, and green technology. These focus areas establish a strong foundation for an advanced manufacturing–driven innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem, fully aligned with the strategic vision of the Hong Kong–Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP).
Mr. Vincent Ma, Chief Executive Officer of HSITPL, said, “We are excited to see the Conceptual Outline as a clear blueprint for the I&T development of the San Tin Technopole, further reinforcing its role as a hub for Hong Kong’s I&T clusters. As an extension of the Hong Kong Park in the Loop, HSITP, with the unique advantage of ‘one river, two banks; one zone, two parks’, will continue to strengthen synergy with the Shenzhen Park and support Hong Kong’s growth as an international I&T centre.”
The first three buildings of Phase One of the HSITP have been completed and are scheduled to officially commence operations by the end of this year. HSITPL is actively advancing the leasing process and has already signed landing-related agreements with more than 40 enterprises and institutions from the Mainland, Hong Kong, and overseas, spanning pillar industries including life and health technology, microelectronics, new energy, and AI, laying a solid foundation for a diverse and complementary innovation ecosystem. To further support companies in research, testing, and commercialisation, HSITPL is also introducing a series of incubation programmes to drive the dynamic development of the I&T ecosystem.
Mr. Ma added: “The Conceptual Outline proposes the phased development of the San Tin Technopole, with three development hubs—the Hetao Hub, the Chau Tau Hub, and the Ki Lun Hub—to foster more efficient clustering of I&T industries and achieve genuine ‘industry–city integration’. This vision is fully aligned with HSITP’s industrial development strategy. We will continue to attract research and advanced manufacturing enterprises, deepen collaboration with stakeholders, and capitalise on the major opportunities presented by the development of the San Tin Technopole and the Hetao Co-operation Zone.”
