Job Description: 
1. Position Summary
We are seeking a Business & Finance Associate to join our early-stage biotech startup. This role is responsible for two key areas: 
(1) developing strategic business documents to articulate our commercial value,
(2) assisting with accounting and financial coordination

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Commercial Documentation & Analysis
-    Research, write, and update core business documents, including the business plan, financial models, budgets, and milestone timelines
-    Prepare presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides) with a focus on market analysis, business model, and competitive landscape
-    Translate technical information into clear commercial narratives for grants, competitions, and investor communications

B. Accounting & Financial Operations
-    Manage grant-related financial reporting and ensure compliance with funding body requirements
-    Monitor budget vs. actual expenditure and provide variance analysis to management
-    Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations
-    Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including profit and loss statements and cash flow monitoring
-    Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements

Requirements: 
3. Qualifications
-    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
-    Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
-    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
-    Familiarity with startup projects or business planning preferred
-    Strong interest in the business side of science and technology, particularly in healthcare
-    Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities 

•    Develop patient-specific 3D blood flow models with cerebrovascular geometry data 
•    Validate hemodynamic parameters such as blood flow velocity and pressure 
•    Write technical reports for clinical validation based on hospital dataset 
•    Find clinical insight with strong statistical evidence 

 

Requirements: 

Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in neuroscience, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics and so on 
•    Understanding of the Navier-Stokes equations, fluid dynamics, and numerical methods 
•    Experience implementing simulation models in at least one programming language, such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB 
•    Ability to quantitatively validate simulation results and analyze technical issues 

Preferred Qualifications 
•    Experience in cerebral blood flow, vascular flow, biofluid mechanics, or cardiovascular CFD 
•    Experience with 3D modeling or simulation using medical imaging data such as MRI, MRA, CT, or CTA 
•    Experience using CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, or SimVascular 
•    Experience developing AI-based flow analysis models, Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs), or surrogate models 
•    Experience with medical device software, SaMD, or digital healthcare product development
