Mr. Eddie MAK Tak-wai JP, the Permanent Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL) replacing Ms. Annie CHOI Suk-han upon her retirement.
President Xi Jinping inspected the Hong Kong Science Park to receive briefing on the San Tin Technopole (which includes the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park) to accelerate Hong Kong's I&T development and deepen its I&T collaboration with Shenzhen, as a strategic platform to connect with the Shenzhen I&T Zone paving the way for Hong Kong's better integration into the national development.
Mr. Patrick Siu, Chief Executive Officer of HSITPL, presented the development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park and the “InnoLife Healthtech Hub” initiative at InvestHK’s symposium, “The Journey of Biotech Innovation and Investment in Hong Kong”.

At the 88th PolyU Research Salon, organized by the Research and Innovation Office of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Mr. Patrick Siu, Chief Executive Officer of HSITPL, shared the strategic role of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park in the Greater Bay Area, as well as the “One Zone, Two Parks” initiative. The event has successfully attracted the attention and inquiries of many research teams and professors of the university.
Mr. Patrick Siu, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL), shared the development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL) and its vision of becoming the world's knowledge hub and I&T centre at "The Healthcare and Biotech Roadmap in GBA Symposium" organized by Greater Bay Area Medical Professional Study Group.
Under the Co-operation Arrangement on the Establishment of ‘One Zone, Two Parks’, HSITP and Shenzhen I&T Park will jointly develop and trial innovation and technology solutions in order to realise a cohesive and synergistic Shenzhen-Hong Kong Technology and Innovation Co-operation Zone.
At its early stage of development, HSITP will focus on healthcare technologies. Leveraging the respective strengths of Hong Kong and Shenzhen in terms of healthcare technologies and other technology areas as well as business environment, HSITP will attract global R&D talent, build a comprehensive I&T ecosystem and develop Hong Kong into an international innovation and technology hub in the filed of life sciences and health.
Riding on the development plan of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, Mr. Patrick Siu, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL) shared the story of “ The Loop: Pioneer in the Northern Metropolis” at The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors’ Annual Conference 2022. This theme of HKIS Annual Conference 2022 was “Northern Metropolis: A New Era of Hong Kong towards Sustainability, Resilience and Growth”.
Mr. Vincent Ma, CEO of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited, was honored to be part of the delegation led by the Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Ms. Lillian Cheong to visit Shanghai and Suzhou.
The delegates have toured the I&T parks and companies for exchange of experiences and understanding on the most recent development of innovation and technology in Shanghai and Suzhou.
